Les Oiseaux du Malheur
November 24, 2014 – February, 2015

Monaco Modern’Art presents the latest paintings of the series Les Oiseaux du Malheur (“The Birds of Misfortune”). Outraged about the fate reserved to the birds, victims of pollution, the artist created these large format abstract paintings from which emerge wounded wings and oil slabs.

The exhibition also features the model of the future Monaco Pavilion for the Universal Exhibition Expo 2015 in Milan. Philippe Pastor, official artist of the Pavilion will present an installation of The Burned Trees sculptures. These pieces, symbol of the fight against deforestation, are currently presented at the Gare de Paris-Montparnasse, after being shown at the Gare du Nord in Paris, in collaboration with SNCF and the Nicolas Hulot Foundation.
